As an international central securities depository (ICSD) headquartered in Luxembourg, Clearstream Banking S.A. operates the post-trading business – i.e. issuance, settlement and custody – for the Eurobond market and services for securities from over 55 domestic markets worldwide.
Field of activity
Treasury is responsible for cash management, funding and money market and capital markets transactions of Deutsche Börse Group as well as for the management of market risks. As Head of Treasury Luxembourg / Singapore you will be responsible for managing the Treasury activities for Clearstream, the post trade unit of Deutsche Börse Group, and leading a team of Treasury professionals in Luxembourg and Singapore.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Is in charge of the operational implementation of the business and Treasury strategy
- Is responsible for the section’s day-to-day operational management and supervision of Treasury activities
- Manage a team of Treasury professionals in Luxembourg and Singapore (13 FTE)
- Steer Clearstream’s Treasury activities, including cash and liquidity management, funding and investments
- Manage short-term funding, intra-day liquidity management and cash clearing as well as medium and long-term financing needs
- Analyse and monitor liquidity risk, currency risk and interest rate risk, and prevent mismatches between assets and liabilities
- Manage the bank’s own assets/investment portfolio
- Maintain and build relationships with market counterparties and regulators
- Analyse regulatory requirements and implement required changes
- Report to senior management, Executive and Supervisory Boards, and to regulators
- Further enhance Treasury framework and processes
- Anticipate and assess risks related to Treasury activities
- Work closely with the other bank services/departments to achieve an optimal exchange of information
Qualifications/required skills
- University degree in business administration, finance or other relevant field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in Treasury in a bank or financial market infrastructure
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience as team leader
- Excellent management and communication skills, ability to act as a role model
- In-depth knowledge of bank regulation; knowledge of financial market infrastructure regulation is an asset
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to lead a diverse team across locations
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; German/French language skills will be an asset
- Limited travel required
