In DBGs strategy “Roadmap 2020” four emerging technologies have been identified as key drivers for Deutsche Börse Group as a market infrastructure provider to create new market structures: Cloud, Big Data & Analytics, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence and Distributed-Ledger/ Blockchain technology. Deutsche Börse established dedicated Centres of Excellence for these four key technologies which will contribute to our growth ambition and further drive financial markets innovation.
The Centre of Excellence New Markets was implemented in 2018 to unlock the potential of Distributed-Ledger/ Blockchain technology for the financial markets. Taking into account the attributes of this new technology, the New Markets team works on the identification and implementation of business models for the creation of new market structures and value-adding products and services leveraging Distributed-Ledger/ Blockchain technology. The team is responsible for the groupwide Distributed-Ledger/ Blockchain strategy.
As a Software Developer you will be in contact with clients and work in an agile environment with your team, in order to design, build, and maintain the above-mentioned market infrastructure using Java and Spring Boot technologies. Your main responsibility will be to support Deutsche Boerse’s development activities in the DLT/ blockchain area with a special focus on the funds industry:
Your responsibilities include
- Support Deutsche Boerse’s development activities in the DLT/Blockchain area
- Help customers achieve business success in a rapidly changing environment
- Act as a technical contact person in the team
- Create software architecture specifications
- Implement production-ready applications using prescribed technologies and solutions
- Use critical thinking skills to tackle tough problems in an innovative way
- Constantly learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
- Professional Skills Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or comparable qualification
- Professional experience of 3-5 years with design, development, testing and deployment of large, distributed applications
- Relevant programming experience in one of the following languages Java, Kotlin, Go, Python
- Experiences using Spring Boot or similar Java/Kotlin application frameworks
- Deep understanding of Distributed-Ledger/ Blockchain architectures, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Quorum, R3 Corda, Hyperledger Fabric
- Experience with database design and implementation
- Experience building and deploying applications in containers
- Knowledge of Azure architecture features is a plus
