Head of Facility Management Unit (f/m/d)

Field of activity

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Facility Management Section, you will have proven experience operating and managing multi-location commercial office environments to the highest standard. You will possess the experience and skills to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels and have a strong commercial awareness. You will manage internal and external staff on a day to day basis and be responsible for all aspects of FM service delivery to the company global property portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, fault free, comfortable working environments.

 

Tasks / Responsibilities

 

  • People management – Effectively recruit, train and manage all internal FM personnel worldwide to ensure robust operating structures
  • Stakeholder management – Liaise with key business stakeholders in relation to FM topics
  • Supplier management – Manage outsourced FM service provider relationships worldwide
  • Operations & maintenance management
  • Planning for future developments in line with strategic business objectives
  • Capex – Yearly planning and budgeting for necessary capex works to global property portfolio
  • Opex budgets – Budget and forecasting for Opex budgets
  • Relocations and moves – Coordinate with key stakeholders to plan and organise office moves locally and internationally
  • Compliance – Ensure FM section compliance with all relevant and associated corporate policies and procedures
  • Health & Safety – Ensure all locations are compliant with group H&S policies & procedures and local laws
  • URP & BCP – Review, develop and maintain unit recovery and business continuity plans for FM section
  • FM processes – Help to develop, implement and maintain FM processes
  • FM helpdesk – Ensure access to FM helpdesk for all business locations
  • FM solutions – Develop and maintain global FM solutions in order to effectively manage and report on FM services, SLA’s / KPIs
  • FM operational service delivery – via direct team, service providers & external consultants
  • Projects – As instructed by Head of FM Section
  • Travel – International travel (approximately 30%) to support regional offices
  • Flexibility – Ability to adjust working hours to meet travel and operational business demands
     

Qualifications

 

  • University Degree in property related subject or minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience
  • Building services / Mechanical & Electrical engineering qualification

 

Knowledge

 

  • Understanding of property and estate management processes
  • Understanding of building design and building MEP services
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legal requirements
  • Understanding of Facility management cycle

  • Previous operational FM and H&S experience managing multiple property locations
  • Contract management and contract supervision
  • Budgeting and finance control
  • Management & supervision of internal & external staff
  • International experience
  • Remote supervision of workforce
