As an international central securities depository (ICSD) headquartered in Luxembourg, Clearstream Banking S.A. operates the post-trading business – i.e. issuance, settlement and custody – for the Eurobond market and services for securities from over 55 domestic markets worldwide.

Field of activity
As a Data Scientist (f/m/d) you will support the team in the Data Management department in the development of data analytics and dashboards using BI Tools and Python. This position is initially limited for 1 year.
 

Tasks/responsibilities

• You will work with different business and technology stakeholders for driving the delivery of analytical dashboards for different business functions.
• You will use data visualization and business intelligence (BI) tools to build dashboards to meet business requirements as well as reports to gain insights.
• You will perform selection and combination of various data sources, including big data tools.
• You will work with data cleansing, wrangling, aggregation, and transformation as well as data interpretation and analysis using statistical techniques.
• You will be involved in projects on data mining and machine learning to identify patterns and create forecasts to predict future behaviour.
• You will have regular discussions with the team and present your solutions and findings.

Qualifications/required skills

• You have successfully completed your university degree in the field of Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, Management or other relevant quantitative field.
• You have practical experience in conducting quantitative data analysis and solid experience with and knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, QlikSense is required. Experience working with big data tools is a plus.
• You have ability to quickly understand technical information, derive insights, devise solutions and work independently and responsibly with attention to detail.
• Experience working with financial data is preferred.
• Good programming knowledge (ideally in Python) and good knowledge of machine learning is preferred.
