Responsibilities of a Risk Manager in Luxembourg are:

Participate at Senior Management Meetings.

Review and assess the effectiveness of the company’s risk framework and make useful suggestions to improve the system.

Provide training to Senior Risk Officers and Junior Risk Officers.

Assisting Senior Risk Officers in their tasks and supervise fieldwork.

Control the observance of deadlines.

Control and monitor the development of Risk-related incidents.

Building and strengthening new and existing client relationships with internal departments and external clients.

Recognize and evaluate market and operational risks information and take the necessary steps autonomously.

Provide advise to risk-related projects.
Profile of a Risk Manager in Luxembourg:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Accountancy, Audit, Economics or another Finance-related Major.

3 to 6 years work experience (market, fund and / or credit risk) in banking, fund or asset management industry.

Excellent knowledge of CRD IV and Basel II-III requirements.

Excellent communication skills in English, French and or German (as a strong asset).

Excellent understanding of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment.

Proactive, solution-oriented team player and able set own and team priorities.

Strong experience in managing people.
