(Junior) Securities Administrator – New Issues – 6 months FTC (f/m/d)

Field of activity

New Issues work closely with authorised market players and in this context, the Securities Administrator will be part of a dynamic team of dedicated and experienced people.  They will be required to support the processes needed in order to make the more complex new issues eligible in Clearstream.  In addition, they will be required to understand Clearstream’s services and products linked to the International Primary Market.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Review, creation and checking of standardised and complex international issues and securities issued via LuxCSD; including standalone bonds and programmes.  This includes ensuring tasks linked to the acceptance of international issues are monitored, chased and accepted before closing date (if eligible)
  • Process all queries independently (seeking guidance when necessary) in a professional and timely manner that arise internally and externally from authorised entities regarding new issues set-up and settlement
  • Reconcile and flag the relevant new issues that are taxable by Clearstream as withholding agent
  • Collect, check and validate that we have the correct set-up and documentation for New Look Global Notes (NGN) and for the New Safekeeping Structure (NSS)
  • Perform and comply with all necessary KYC and Compliance referral checks on such international new issues
  • Support and administrate the Ancillary Settlement Services for key customers
  • Support or handle ICA Code allocation and EPIM services if required including testing
  • Support internal teams handling any tasks that have been outsourced
  • When requested participate in projects related to IDS
  • Execute the allocated tasks accurately and in due time
  • Comply with the effective controls, system access in addition to internal policies and procedures.  Comply with Industry standards related to Primary Markets (for example Numbering Agency guidelines, ICMA, ICMSA,  ISMAG)
  • Assist with the update of standard internal procedures
  • Process settlement of new issues on the primary market (Syndicated distributions)

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration or related
  • Prior work experience in back-office is an asset
  • Good understanding of financial markets and instruments
  • Accuracy, flexibility, excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Team player with ability to work independently
  • Customer focused, quick learner
  • Ability to cope with deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrate initiative, be proactive and look to continuously learn and develop
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Competent handling of MS Office applications
