Field of activity
New Issues work closely with authorised market players and in this context, the Junior Tax Administrator will be part of a dynamic team of dedicated and experienced people. They will be required to support the processes needed in order to make new issues eligible in Clearstream.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Review, creation and checking of standardised international issues; e.g. money market instruments, medium term notes, equity and convertible linked notes as well as warrants
- This includes ensuring tasks linked to the acceptance of international issues are monitored, chased and accepted before closing date (if eligible)
- Process standard queries in a professional and timely manner that arise internally and externally from authorised entities regarding new issues set-up
- Reconcile and flag the relevant new issues that are taxable by Clearstream as withholding agent
- Collect, check and validate that we have the correct set-up and documentation for New Look
- Perform and comply with all necessary KYC and Compliance referral checks on such international new issues
- Support the Ancillary Settlement Services for key customers
- Support ICA Code allocation services, if required
- Support internal teams handling any tasks that have been outsourced
- Execute the allocated tasks accurately and in due time
- Comply with the effective controls, system access in addition to internal policies and procedures. Comply with Industry standards related to Primary Markets (for example Numbering Agency guidelines, ICMA, ICMSA, ISMAG)
Qualifications/required skills
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programme with a recognized institution and can provide an internship agreement
- A basic understanding of financial markets and instruments is desirable
- Competent handling of MS Office applications
- Accuracy, flexibility, excellent organisational and communication skills
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Customer focused
- Ability to cope with deadlines
- Ability to adapt to a constant changing environment and situation
- Demonstrate initiative and look to continuously improve
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
