Field of activity

Clearstream Default Management is part of the Risk Management function and is an elementary component of the management and control of Clearstream Banking as part of Deutsche Börse Group. The Clearstream Default Management team is responsible for handling any default of a customer. As Default Management Officer within CRO Clearstream you will be responsible for supporting the default management activities of Clearstream during a customer default, also ensuring the safety of Clearstream in its role as CSD/ICSD by supporting and developing default management framework for Clearstream’s products and services. You will be actively taking part in our processes, while we are offering you diverse, interesting and above all challenging tasks.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Support Clearstream trading activities during the execution of the Default Management Process.
  • Develop and maintain a robust Default Management Process, in accordance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit proposals to the Executive Board and provide adequate reporting.
  • Develop / enhance tools to allow the execution of the default management process.
  • Organise and actively participate in various default management simulations / tests.
  • Represent Clearstream Default Management towards external stakeholders, e.g. customers, regulators.
  • Interact with other internal stakeholders such functions as Credit, Treasury and Securities Lending
  • Analyse related new regulatory requirements and manage their implementation
  • Support the implementation of various enhancements and initiatives within the company.

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in finance or comparable education.
  • Good understanding of credit risk, collateral management, related regulatory topics, CSD-R.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in credit, risk management and regulatory topics.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Highly motivated and open minded team player with a willingness to perform in a critical situation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in order to develop and present concepts.
  • High commitment, motivation, creativity and ability to work both independently and flexibly in a team.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, any other language would be considered an asset.
  • Good command of MS Office
