Field of activity
StatistiX® is the Data Warehouse of Deutsche Börse Group. StatistiX® provides external and internal users worldwide with statistical information on financial markets. Aim of the position is not only to support the StatistiX DevOps Team of the classical Data Warehouse, but also to support the journey to a state-of-the-art data lake. The job position requires a sound IT-operations know-how in order to be able to work in a rather self-contained environment and additionally a motivation to analyze problems and work out own solutions.



  • Actively support the move from a classical Data Warehouse towards a Data Lake solution
  • Creation and distribution of pre-defined standard reports to Business Units
  • Understand DevOps as a culture 
  • Monitoring of production systems, interfaces and databases using events and alerts in Informatica, Control-M, the big data architecture (based on Spark and Hadoop) and containerization cluster such as Kubernetes, OpenShift
  • Investigation of impact of occurring errors within the entire job-schedule
  • Incident management: First level support for users (acting as point of contact)


Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in «Computer Science/Information Systems» and/or a comparable training
  • One year of relevant professional experience preferred. New Graduates welcome to apply
  • Experience in one of these fields is desired, high interest in learning the other on the job is required:

           – Classic Data Warehousing with Oracle, Control-M and Informatica PowerCenter or similar tools

           – Data Lake Architecture with respective tools (Spark, Hadoop), major Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP),

              programming languages (Go, Python, Scala), container / container cluster (Docker, Kubernetes) 

  • Experience with today’s data analytics tools (e.g. Trifacta, Zeppelin, Kylin) desirable
  • An affinity for analyses and problem solving is highly desirable, incl. the associated skills 
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory; German language skills will be an asset
  • Proactive workstyle, experience in DevOps environments / SRE teams desirable
