Clearstream’s Investment Funds Services is the market-leading provider of fund processing services in Europe and acts as the largest true one-stop-shop in the area of 3rd party funds services. Vestima bundles Clearstream’s entire suite of investment fund services providing order routing, settlement and asset servicing for mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and alter-native funds. Clearstream Fund Centre (CFC) offering complements Vestima to include distribution support services and to provide direct access to a fund research solution. This service provides easy and efficient access to more than 400 fund provid-ers worldwide. 

Business Management, is part of Investment Fund Services (IFS) Business Segment and is responsible for the business planning framework and performance monitoring across the department working internally within the department with IFS Product and Commercial teams and also externally with Fund Operations, IT and core Clearstream and DBG teams for the successful deliv-ery of IFS, Clearstream and Deutsche Börse Group Strategic Business Plan and objectives. 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Revenue and cost planning and monitoring versus allocated running budget, escalating out of line positions and areas for reduction across indirect allocations, direct costs and restructuring and change costs
  • Prepare and manage Business review meetings, financial templates/reports to be used by the IFS Management and committees
  • Support preparation of longer term financial planning of IFS including preparing and maintaining business / invest-ment case including the co-ordination of relevant approval documentation
  • Project Cost monitoring versus allocated running budget, escalating out of line positions and areas for reduction across change and restructuring projects
  • Costs and Budget administration tasks including transfers, purchase orders
  • Co-ordination of responses to RFPs and due diligence, corporate policy requests including intercompany reporting and risk assessments. Tracking resolution of Internal Audit items
  • Management of projects and strategic initiatives of IFS in accordance with Project Management Methodology
  • Preparation of presentations and analysis papers for IFS management and stakeholders
  • Guidance/implementation of analysis and various research tasks

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • Experience of financial cost management in an international Financial Services industry environment (3 to 5 years min-imum) 
  • Experienced in financial and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated Project Management Interest, Acumen and Experience in financial services
  • Experience of delivery of complex projects and strong presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods
  • Well organised – able to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Self Starter, Entrepreneurial, Flexible and Motivated; Ability to take the initiative to “achieve results” and be “Client Service Delivery” focused
  • Flexible team player in an international environment and organisation culture across geographical locations
  • Ability to positively engage and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders; Ability to motivate others
  • Excellent Communicator and effective Interpersonal skills including excellent oral and written English
  • Strong Collaborator across cross functional teams and silos
  • Experience with document writing
  • Professional experience in the Financial Services industry and in particular the Investment Fund Securities Services an advantage. Theoretical and practical knowledge regarding relevance and functioning of capital markets as well as in-depth understanding of business principles and processes

  • Knowledge of Clearstream Investment Funds Systems systems & processes
  • Third level qualification
  • Project Management certification, e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2
  • Accounting certification, e.g. CFA
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the following competencies: information technology, creativi-ty/innovation, business analysis, multitasking and service management
  • Excellent command of MS office applications.
  • Additional German and French language skills an asset
