Below are listed some of the key responsibilities for a Junior Portfolio Analyst in Luxembourg:
As integral part of the Investment Management team the Junior Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for:

Assisting in researching and analysing investment products and finding solutions

Assist the team in analysing the daily cash flow

Respecting all investment policies, guidelines and investment procedures and updating such policies

Produce client specific reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis

Supporting managers in monitoring managed accounts

Gather data on investments and do market research

Assure managed accounts are respecting contractually agreed target allocation, propose adjustments if necessary

First insight into creating trade recommendations

Make reconciliation in different systems using talor-made client management software
-
Prepare and participate at audits
General Profile of a Junior Portfolio Analyst in Luxembourg
Expected Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in a Finance-related subject like Accounting, Audit, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics.

Used to integrate easily in a team but also able to work individually

Good understanding of investment products (funds, equities, options, bonds)
-
A first working experience in a financial company (bank, asset management company,…)

Very good communication skills (verbally and written) in English (+ French or German)

General understanding of economic correlations and portfolio management
-
Strong analytical skill and figure-oriented
-
Problemsolver and hands-on mentality who likes to take the ownership for projects
-
Good knowledge of MS Office and tools like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc.
